Another trip to the Embassy

This trip was to help my son Nate.

Today was another trip to the Chinese embassy in L.A., but this time for Nate. I’d checked the website and there was nothing on there regarding the declaration required. We decided that there was a chance that the Chinese had dropped that requirement so off I went. Wrong!
I got to L.A. and had to park in a parking structure because I had the truck and it wouldn’t fit in the small spaces. I went up to the embassy and took a number: #224 and they were on about 112. I asked around and found that we did need the declaration form so called Nate. He had just received the completed forms by e-mail so he forwarded them on to me.
I left the embassy and found a Kinko’s, parked in a parking structure and ran in. The manager was so helpful, she had me e-mail her the messages from Nate using my phone, and then she printed them up. Unfortunately the last form printed on 4 pages, in the center. The manager had the idea that I should cut the forms out, tape them together and then copy that. It worked.
By then it was 1:40pm and the embassy closed at 2pm. I ran to the truck, drove to the parking lot by the embassy and ran to the embassy arriving with about 10 minutes to spare. They were on #215.
Unfortunately the embassy personal would not accept the passports for several of the girls who actually came originally from China. I’m not sure what the problem is, except that they are Chinese girls. Who knows what the problem is but I did what I could.
